Boxing classes in Wisbech
for every level
Boxing classes in Wisbech for every level, in the best boxing facilities in the area with world-class trainers: Boxing Basics 101 on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm, Adult BoxCross on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm, and a women’s beginners’ class on Wednesdays at 6pm. Coached the whole way through and scaled to whoever walks in.
The best conditioning work there is
Boxing is the rare thing that is genuinely hard work and genuinely fun. You are learning a skill, so your brain is busy, and forty minutes disappears in a way it never does on a treadmill.
The classes are properly coached. Not a fitness instructor who has watched some videos, but people who box and who have worked corners. Technique gets corrected, and the standard in the room is set by people who know what good looks like.
You do not need experience, you do not need kit, and you will not be put in with anyone. Wear something you can move in and turn up.
When
The boxing classes each week
Boxing Basics 101: Mondays and Wednesdays, 7pm
The beginners’ class, one hour, fifteen places, coached by Daniel Higgs and Jordan Tilsey. Stance, footwork, form and pad work drilled properly. This is where you start.

Women’s Boxing Basics 101: Wednesdays, 6pm

Kids and youth: five evenings and Saturday
Ages 5 to 16 have their own sessions at 5pm on weekdays and on Saturday mornings. Youth boxing.
Structure
What a class looks like
Warm-up and movement
Skipping, shadow work and mobility. Ten minutes to get warm and get your feet working before anybody hits anything.
Technique
One or two things per session, drilled properly. Repetition of the basics is what transfers to actual boxing, and every coach here will tell you the same thing.
Pads and bags
Rounds on the pads with a partner or a coach, then bag work. This is where the conditioning happens without you noticing.
Conditioning finish
Short, hard, and over quickly. Sled, wall ball, bodyweight, or a circuit on the track.
Levels
Beginner classes assume nothing. Advanced classes assume you can hold a stance and throw a straight combination without thinking about it. Coaches will tell you honestly which one you should be in.
Kit, and when to buy it
For your first several classes, borrow. Gloves and wraps are available at the gym and there is no point spending money before you know you like it.
When you do want your own, 14oz gloves and a pair of wraps cover almost everything. Ask a coach before you buy: they will steer you away from the expensive things you do not need yet.
Boots, headguards and anything else only matter if you start sparring, and that is a long way down the road and entirely optional.
Questions
Common questions
Do I need to be fit to start boxing classes?
No. Classes are scaled and you work at your own pace. Boxing gets you fit rather than requiring it first.
Will I get hit?
Not in class. Pad work is you hitting a pad somebody is holding. Sparring is separate, optional, supervised, and only when a coach says you are ready.
What should I wear?
Shorts or joggers, a t-shirt, trainers and a water bottle. Gloves and wraps can be borrowed.
I searched for boxing classes near me. Are these the ones?
If you are anywhere around Wisbech, March, King’s Lynn or the Fenland villages, yes. Regal Road, PE13 2RQ, free parking, and the classes run four evenings a week so there is always one within a couple of days.
When are the boxing classes?
