“Box Cross is honestly an amazing gym. The atmosphere is friendly, motivating, and exactly what you want from a proper functional fitness and weight training gym.”

Gym reviews in Wisbech:
5.0 from 236
The highest-rated gym reviews in Wisbech, and more of them than most. Every one is public on Google and you can sort by lowest first if you want to.
Before the reviews
The wall by
the changing rooms
There is a wall in the corridor with framed photographs of members: stage shots, finish lines, first competitions, the people who put the numbers on the results section of this site. Nobody is paid to be on it and nobody is asked. It fills up on its own.
The reviews below say the same thing in words. The wall says it in faces. Come and look at either.
A word on how to read any rating. A 5.0 average is only meaningful alongside the volume behind it. Two hundred and thirty-six reviews is a large enough sample that a handful of unusually generous or unusually annoyed people cannot move the number much, which is not true of a business sitting on twelve.
Every review below is public and none of them are incentivised. Nobody here has ever been offered a free month, a discount or a protein shake in exchange for writing one. Members are asked once, at the end of their induction, and most of them forget. The ones who write something did so because they wanted to.
Sort by lowest first if you want the fastest read on any business, including this one. It takes thirty seconds and it tells you far more than the headline figure does.

“Best gym in Wisbech. Completely changed the way I train since I’ve had my little boy. The ability to bring him with me has given me back my sense of self. The PTs are so supportive.”

“Brilliant gym. I’ve been to a few different gyms recently, and none have been as good as BoxCross. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is every kind of equipment you could possibly need.”

“There are 231 more of these, written by people who train here. We have not cherry-picked the flattering ones, they are simply all five stars.”

Why the rating is worth something
A 5.0 across 236 reviews is unusual. For comparison, PureGym Wisbech sits at 4.5 from 269 and Snap Fitness Wisbech at 4.9 from 116. Every one of ours is on a public Google profile attached to a real account.
We have also been independently judged twice. East of England Gym of the Year at the Bodybuilding News Awards in 2024 and again in 2025, both after a national public vote, and a top-six placing in the UK overall.
If you are a member and we have done right by you, a review genuinely helps. If we have not, tell us directly first and we will try to fix it.
