You do not have to be a runner

The most common thing people say before their first one is "I am not really a runner". Almost nobody there is. There are people walking sections, people pushing buggies, people training for something, and people who have not run since school.

It is free and it is open to everyone. You do not need a membership, you do not need to sign up, and you do not need to tell anyone you are coming. Turn up at 9am on a Sunday.

And there are cookies afterwards, plus a drink at the bar while you cool down, which is a considerable part of why people keep coming back.

Practical

How it works

When

Sunday mornings at 9am, biweekly. Check the BoxCross Instagram or ask at reception for the next date.

Where

Meet at BoxCross, 15 Regal Road, Wisbech PE13 2RQ. Free parking on site.

How far and how fast

5K, at whatever pace you want. The group spreads out and regroups. Nobody gets left behind and nobody is timing you.

What to bring

Trainers and something weather-appropriate. That is the entire list.

Afterwards

Freshly baked treats and a post-run drink at the bar. This is not a token gesture, people take it seriously.
